Explore our high-performance solutions engineered to meet stringent cosmetic formulation and daily chemical production standards worldwide.
The cosmetics manufacturing sector is undergoing a rapid transition towards full-scale automation, propelled by strict GMP regulations and the demand for high product uniformity. Among color cosmetics, mascara remains one of the most challenging formulations to package. Its high viscosity (thixotropic behavior), sensitivity to aeration, and complex container designs (cylindrical tubes with narrow neck wipers) demand highly specialized equipment. The SINA EKATO Rotary Automatic Cosmetic Mascara Tube Filling and Capping Machine represents the pinnacle of rotary packaging systems, addressing these micro-engineering challenges with absolute precision.
Across European Union markets, North America, and emerging markets in Asia-Pacific, cosmetic brands are scaling up production facilities. Rotary filling machinery has emerged as the industry standard due to its space-saving footprints, superior throughput per square meter, and stable mechanical indexing. By maintaining continuous control over the container from bottle feeding through filling, wiper insertion, cap loading, and tight-tolerance capping, rotary structures reduce defect rates to nearly zero. SINA EKATO's global engineering footprint enables factories in Europe and the Americas to operate continuous shifts with reduced maintenance intervals, securing a stable yield in high-volume beauty supply chains.
"Modern cosmetic lines demand more than speed; they require volumetric consistency and cosmetic container preservation. Preventing cap scratching and wiper damage is the baseline for high-end luxury cosmetics."
Mascara formulations typically consist of natural waxes (carnauba, beeswax), synthetic polymers, and iron oxide pigments suspended in an aqueous or volatile organic base. When subjected to shear stresses or temperature variations, the product's viscosity can fluctuate unpredictably. Standard linear piston fillers often suffer from dripping or stringing at the nozzle head, which contaminates the sealing threads of the tube.
To counter this, SINA EKATO implements a servo-driven bottom-up filling stroke combined with active clean-cut nozzle shut-offs. The nozzle dives deep to the bottom of the mascara tube and retracts progressively in tandem with the volumetric discharge rate of the piston pump, eliminating air pocket formation and ensuring clean thread interfaces.

Linear filling setups often suffer from mechanical lag and high cycle times due to intermittent stops. Rotary packaging systems, however, process containers in a continuous, smooth circular motion. SINA EKATO's rotary architecture utilizes highly advanced multi-station indexing stars.
Each index station corresponds to a key process: bottle sorting and air-jet cleaning, multi-stage filling, wiper insertion inspection, cap pre-threading, final servo-assisted torque capping, and automated reject routing. The rotary mechanism minimizes container inertia, preventing delicate mascara tubes from tipping over or experiencing surface scratches, which are common issues in high-speed linear operations.
A primary source of wastage in mascara production is the incorrect alignment or absence of the internal wiper, causing product leakage during consumer usage. SINA EKATO’s future-ready machinery integrates digital camera inspection at multiple checkpoints. High-resolution CCD sensors verify the presence of the wiper, measure the height of the inserted component, and double-check the cap alignment before torque is applied. If a fault is detected, the container is tracked and routed to the reject bin without stopping the main line, maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
We can provide: Patent Certificate / CE Certificate / ISO9001 / Stainless Steel 316L Certificate
Color cosmetics like mascara are applied directly to the ocular region, elevating the risk of microbial contamination. Consequently, packaging machinery must be designed with cleanability as a core requirement. SINA EKATO utilizes premium SUS316L stainless steel for all fluid contact components. The piston pump, valve heads, and filling manifolds are engineered for rapid disassembly, allowing quick Clean-in-Place (CIP) or manual sterilization protocols.
Internally, all welding lines are finished to a mirror-polished standard (surface roughness Ra < 0.4 μm) to eliminate any crevices where bacteria or pigment buildup could occur. The air-jet blowing cleaning station prior to filling ensures no ambient particulates or dust remain within the tubes.
Modern manufacturers must accommodate multiple package designs and product SKUs. Adjusting a line for different mascara bottle sizes or cap designs historically required hours of downtime. SINA EKATO solves this with modular mechanical fixtures and pre-calibrated recipes in the PLC touch panel. Switch-overs for rotary indexing star wheels, bottle molds, and capping chucks can be completed in minutes without specialized tools, enabling operations to stay agile and responsive to shifting market demands.
